A Brighter future for families
Sarmouen’s dream for his sons is to finish school. Like you and me, he understands that education is the key to a brighter future, and he was determined to give his children access to this better life he dreamed of.
This dream was almost lost in an instant when Sarmouen was in a life-changing motorcycle accident. He had been transporting his crops to sell at the local market when he collided with an oncoming car. Already in poverty, the family could not afford to send him to a hospital to recover.
What would happen if he couldn’t walk again? How would the family make an income?
Thanks to a supporter like you, all this changed! Now you can create a brighter future for families.

Be a Change Maker
ADRA is changing the world, all thanks to people like you! Through our supporters, we’re able to run a range of different development projects and respond to disasters right here in New Zealand and around the world.
We work in four key impact areas
Health is at the heart of so much of the world’s poverty and suffering. We work with communities to provide food, clean water, and other health resources.
Education changes everything, yet 1 in 5 children are not in school. ADRA advocates for childrens rights to education and implements projects that support education.
Helping people provide for themselves creates change that can be seen for generations. We’re committed to helping people strengthen their livelihoods and build self-reliance.
Through ADRA’s global network we respond to disasters around the world. We provide immediate relief and often support longer term recovery.
