Response in Nepal
Devastating flash floods have swept through communities across Nepal. As of 1st Sept, more than 1200 people have been confirmed dead, thousands remain missing and more than 90,000 people are estimated to have been affected. With roads, bridges and communications destroyed, the full scale of the disaster is still emerging.
Around 10,000 households urgently need emergency assistance, including shelter, food and essential supplies.
ADRA is already on the ground responding, working with local authorities and humanitarian partners to provide critical relief to affected families. We have already delivered shelter kits to some of the worst hit areas and are launching a network appeal.
