Sally Lavea | Office Manager

 Sal Profile PicA proud Kiwi with Samoan lineage, Sally has spent the last 6 years in Sydney, Australia. She has worked in a range of roles, most recently Departmental Assistant for Human Resources and Leadership & Professional Development at the South Pacific Division. Sally is a qualified Adult Education Trainer and has over ten years experience in Financial Services, Training and Development and Administration for Air New Zealand. Taking up the position of Office Manager for ADRA New Zealand, Sally enjoys the variety of the role and is looking forward to being able to support the programmes more as service projects are a real passion of hers. She loves spending time with family and friends as well as playing sports – in particular basketball, volleyball and touch rugby. Sally has a Certificate IV in Adult Education and a Diploma in Business.

Favourite ADRA story

I enjoy hearing or reading all the stories that are shared by staff or in newsletters about how people/families have been helped through the various ADRA projects. More recently I got to see a cute $5 donation posted in by a young child to help others in need. Although it may not seem like much to us, to those in need, $5 can go such a long way and to have someone so young send in a donation to help others when they could spend it very easily on themselves, really warms the heart. I praise God for the privilege to work and be a part of an organisation and ministry that helps so many!
